Where is Prabhakaran – GTN reporter:

Military spokesman Udaya Nanayakkara has stated there were no evidences of the rebel leader having been killed in the present offensive.

He said the rebels were now cornered to small strip of land and they believe Prabhakaran could also be among them.

Many questions have been raised as to where the elusive rebel leader could be and even a possibility of him having already left the island.

Reports state many of the Sinhalese people in the country were celebrating the day as the second independence for the country by lighting crackers and making Milk rice as the president landed in the country and kissed the soil.

With celebrations all around and rumours of the LTTE leader being killed, moves are still on to announce a complete victory by either killing Prabhakaran or Pottu Amman.

The real ground situation is reported to be very disturbing with hundreds of civilians being killed and accounted for as LTTE cadres.

Meanwhile some secret Military reports indicate over 2000 LTTE cadres were still fighting in Mulliwaikkal area.
